Murray Sterling joined Precis Engineering in 2009. He is an accomplished senior executive with over 45 years of technical engineering and business development experience. At Precis, Murray provides senior management and oversight for engineering projects while also serving as the firm’s client relationship manager. He is responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing client service levels while introducing prospective customers to the firm’s capabilities.

Murray’s background includes positions as a process engineer, plant engineer, and independent consultant before advancing rapidly to roles as vice president of engineering and business development. He has initiated alliances with engineering organizations throughout the U.S. and in Puerto Rico; established strategic partnerships and joint ventures with architectural and other engineering firms for mutual success; and mentored staff in effective project management and relationship building. His multifunctional experience includes both strategic planning and translating strategy into action.

His technical concentration has been in the area of process controls and automation. He has authored several articles on the use of automation for consistent product and energy savings. Murry has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a registered Professioal Engineer in Pennsylvania and is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and PA Bio, serving on various boards and committies for both organizations.
