Kristina Pumphrey joined Precis in 2018 to lead its process engineering group. She is a registered professional chemical engineer with nearly two decades of industry experience in process engineering for life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients. Her broad knowledge base spanning industry technologies includes material handling, potent compounds, and hazard analysis. Among other roles, she has led process engineering for a greenfield cell culture facility, managed and served as in-field technical liaison for construction of a vaccine manufacturing facility, and managed on-site process engineering operations for a bulk API manufacturing facility. A certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Kristina uses her lean manufacturing expertise to help clients plan for the future by improving operational efficiency.
Kristina extends her pharma industry leadership to the professional community as a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and Executive Vice President of the Delaware Valley Chapter. Kristina has spoken and published extensively; recent presentations include Designing for Op Ex in OSD Manufacturing Facilities presented at INTERPHEX; Factoring in the Impact of Operations During Facility Design and Equipment Selection presented at ISPE Carolinas-South Atlantic Chapter; and Improving Packaging Line Efficiency presented at Pack Expo East.
Kristina holds a Master of Science in Management and Technology from Widener University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
