Philadelphia Business Journal Best Place to Work | 2020

Precis Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineering INTERN for the upcoming Summer 2021 cycle. If you are looking to work in building systems and modeling, willing to ask questions and seek answers, and enjoy a motivated, small-company culture, consider an internship experience with Precis Engineering.

Responsibilities include working alongside experienced engineers providing support with Electrical design services, including support with necessary AutoCAD/Revit tasks. Our common projects include services for design of building electrical and power distribution systems (600V or lower systems), arc flash studies, short circuit analyses, and design and retrofit of building main electrical and power distribution rooms for incoming power from high voltage distribution/utility companies. Primary duties will be to assist with developing design documentation including engineering calculations and drawings as well as interfacing with project designers and equipment manufacturers. Dependent on active projects and clients, Intern employees may have the opportunity to participate in client meetings and site visits to develop valuable field experience.

Precis supports the development of a intern's technical and communication skills, and our staff is willing to teach and extend any willing co-op the expertise that exists within our office to further ready students for post-graduation careers in engineering.

Candidates should be willing to seek answers in an environment which requires diligence and multitasking. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD program and a working knowledge of building systems is preferred.
