Precis was recently named a 2024 Best Place to Work in the large-sized company category by the Philadelphia Business Journal. This year’s list includes 84 companies from across the region. The award recognition is determined based on employee feedback collected via an online survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, which measures each company’s culture, from compensation and benefits to trust in senior leadership. This marks the fourth ‘Best Place to Work’ recognition for the firm.
“At Precis, our team knows that a great company culture cannot simply be manifested, rather, it is the culmination of the relentless commitment of each member of our ensemble to provide best-in-class design services for our customers, have respect for one another, and foster an environment of shared success”, said Josh Capparella, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Principal – PA Operations. “We are thrilled to once again be recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work’ by the Philadelphia Business Journal.”
Precis’ company culture – work hard, play hard, and support each other – remains strong as the firm continues to experience significant growth in both staff and services. Strategic partnerships and award-winning projects keep the team engaged with challenging and rewarding work. Industry-leading credentials and involvement foster leadership, professional development, and opportunities in and outside the office. A culture of continuous learning pushes toward expertise shared by all.
The hard work and dedication of the staff has been recognized through both career advancement and opportunities to get out of the office and have some fun with colleagues. This year, several employees were promoted to leadership roles and many interns and co-ops have been hired for full-time roles following graduation. The Precis leadership team encourages and supports employee engagement, from department socials and company-wide contests to sporting and charity events. Some of our favorite recent events have included participating as a team in the Greater Philadelphia Architect's Softball League, the annual Aeron Chair Hockey Event benefiting the Ed Snider Youth Hockey + Education fund, and our annual Precis Thanksgiving Brunch. Other yearly events such as Engineers Week, National Intern Day, and Women in Construction Day are celebrated with company-wide breakfast or lunch gatherings.
The firm continuously strives to maintain a work environment that encourages teamwork and camaraderie, and inspires employees to challenge themselves to reach new heights. We are honored to have been named a ‘Best Place to Work’ by, not only the Philadelphia Business Journal, but our very own team.
