We are please to announce the addition of Steve Buxton to our team as Project Executive based in the Ambler office. A mechanical engineer with over 30 years of pharmaceutical engineering and capital projects experience, Buxton will support the Precis Project Management Group.
“Steve brings extensive engineering leadership in the pharmaceutical industry on both the owner manufacturing supply and consulting sides,” said Josh Capparella, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Precis Principal – Pennsylvania Operations. “His comprehensive perspective will be leveraged support our project management team and our clients’ complex engineering challenges.”

Buxton has more than 30 years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including over 20 years spent with Pfizer Global Engineering, and roles on the consulting side of engineering practice. He has leveraged his dual owner-consultant perspectives to provide project management, design review, and mechanical systems design for pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing, cGLP laboratories, primary and secondary packaging, cGMP warehousing, and microelectronics facilities. Buxton has worked on projects during all phases, from concept development, design, and programming through construction, commissioning, qualification, and startup.
Buxton’s career has included roles as corporate global engineering service leader, interim site capital lead, subject matter leader in HVAC and environmental conditions, global reliability program regional lead, and participation on a global quality excellence team. These experiences have afforded him extensive knowledge of strategic and infrastructure capital planning and execution best practices.
Buxton holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. He is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP). Buxton lives in Collegeville, PA.
