Precis provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process engineering and architecture services for a 16,500 SF expansion to the first floor of the existing Jefferson Institute of Bioprocessing in Philadelphia. The expansion will provide process development space for advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP), additional biopharmaceutical training space, and supporting labs (Analytical and Micro).

The new training space was designed for a 1,000L MAB process train leveraging state of the art single use equipment that could handle BSL-1 product if needed. The new process development space was designed to be flexible BSL-2 processing suites focused on commercialization processes for cell gene therapy and advanced vaccines.
