Precis provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection/life safety engineering services for renovations to the basement of this 1923 building to support a new Integrative Behavior Analysis Suite. Behavioral research activities included the use of large, shallow fish tanks requiring tight temperature and relative humidity control. The desired environmental conditions for the new behavioral labs, as well as the animal holding areas, were provided by all new HVAC equipment, including a knockdown once-through air handling unit, terminal reheat coils, and terminal humidifiers, all located within limited ceiling cavity. Coordination between design disciplines was performed in Autodesk Revit prior to construction to limit field conflicts.

The project also included the replacement of all first and second floor fan coil units for the faculty offices, all associated secondary hydronic distribution systems, as well as integration of the remaining HVAC equipment.
